We believe creativity is fostered when individuals are gathered together in a low-key, informal setting. Located in a fabulous old house on the campus of the University of Utah, we have created an open environment where individuals can just drop in and surround themselves with those who share the same collaborative entrepreneurial spirit. We are “breaking down the walls” both figuratively and literally.
Our passion for Gangplank Utah grew from the energy created by Gangplank Phoenix, started in 2008 by our good friends and colleagues. Taking a page from their book, we value:
collaboration over competition / community over agendas / participation over observation / doing over saying / friendship over formality / boldness over assurance / learning over expertise / people over personalities.
That’s what they believe. That’s what we believe. And that’s what we intend to offer to our incredibly talented Utah community!
We feel very fortunate to have both Sorenson Media and the TechTITANS Student Innovation Society based at the University of Utah assisting (and allowing) us to provide the creative entrepreneurial environment required to get this thing off the ground. We’ve wanted to form a group like this for years and we are thrilled that now is the time. We’d love to have you participate!
Create. Collaborate. Innovate.
